They have had many different names over the decades, but they have always been three toms with golden eyes, all around the same age.

What makes these toms special (aside from their apparent rebirthing skills) is the powers each one of them always has.

Searingeyes: The ability to see into the minds of other, see the future, and see through solid objects.
Known for acting before his enemy.

Soulvoider: The ability to sense emotion and sickness, and create sickness of all sorts (specializing in sickness of the mind), as well as influence the emotions of others.
Known for turning an entire army away, screaming.

Despairingcall: The ability to mimic others and to understand and speak other languages.
Known for his bird spies.
